This is a sound design project that I began to continue practicing and developing my skills for video game audio. I am a big fan of the sound design of Call of Duty Modern Warefare and was inspired to recreate some of the audio elements of the game. I took gameplay that I captured and began “scoring” the clip with different SFX that I would place into the game as if I was a Sound Designer on the project. The primary tools that I am using are Ableton, stock plugins, Native Instruments and Serum.
This is less of a full project and more of a way to show the various UI Sounds that I have been creating. In the process of creating these sounds I have been synthesizing from scratch, or resampling sounds from sound packs and sound libraries such as Native Instruments. After I get the sound that I want, I record different pitches through Ableton, sort them into individual files using Ableton’s drum rack, and organizing the files with Adobe Bridge.
